Mechanical Engineer
**Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer** **Location:** On-Site, Plymouth, MN **Company Overview:** Join Northrop, a pioneering leader in the defense industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge programs, including the Jackal project, that contribute to the advancement of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). **Position Summary:** We are seeking two experienced Mechanical Engineers to support integrated teams focusing on propulsion systems and airframe design for UAS and missile systems. This role will involve hands-on design and development work, requiring strong technical skills and industry experience. **Key Responsibilities:** + Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and integrate propulsion and airframe systems. + Design fuel systems, including fluid handling components, pressure regulators, and flow systems. + Work with hydraulic systems and ensure functionality of check valves and fittings. + Utilize strong mechanical engineering skills to drive design processes using CREO 7.0. + Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and reliability of systems. + Conduct thorough analysis and support the development of testing procedures. **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 5 years of experience in UAS, aviation, or missile systems. + Proven experience in fuel system design or strong design capabilities in mechanical engineering. + Familiarity with fluid handling components and hydraulic systems is highly desirable. + Experience with CREO 7.0 and understanding of GD&T is essential. + U.S. Citizenship is required; a security clearance is a plus but not mandatory. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $40.00 • Medical, dental & vision • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) • Short and long-term disability • Health Spending Account (HSA) • Transportation benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN. **Application Deadline** This position will be accepting applications until Jan 17, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
