Job Summary:
Our plant in Newberry, SC, a leading manufacturer of process water chillers, has an immediate opening for a full-time entry level Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Entering and maintaining product bill of materials Establishing and entering routing steps Maintain engineering changes for existing products Maintain system integrity while assigning part numbers, product classes, etc. Requires close interaction with other dept. such as Customer Service, Production Control and other manufacturing areas Provide continuous product improvement of existing unit designs Provide equipment trouble shooting including microprocessor control systems Review drawings of product for compliance with submittals/quotation before release to shop floor Work on production projects to increase productivityQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required Excellent PC skills (Teams, Word, Excel, Access) CAD skills, with ability to create basic 2D and 3D drawings and ability to read and understand mechanical drawings Ability to handle frequent changes of priorities based on business needs and to self-manage activities based on those prioritiesThis role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
