Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Product Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking valve designs from concept to completion, including prototyping, testing, validation, and manufacturing. This role focuses on designing specialized valves for the landfill gas industry, utilizing SolidWorks for 3D modeling and generating bills of materials based on designs. A strong emphasis is placed on research and development, adapting valve designs from other industries for landfill gas applications.

Responsibilities

Take valve designs from initial concept through to final product, ensuring all design specifications and requirements are met.Utilize in-house 3D printing capabilities to build prototypes and evaluate design feasibility.Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes to ensure performance and reliability.Oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring designs are accurately translated into production.Focus on R&D to adapt valve designs from other industries for use in the landfill gas sector.Identify and collaborate with vendors for outsourcing advanced prototyping and other specialized processes.Run simulations to predict product performance and identify potential improvements.Generate and manage bills of materials based on design specifications.Provide technical support to the sales team once products are engineered and manufactured.

Essential Skills

Experience engineering valves and mechanical housingsPrior product development and R&D experience from concept to completionProficiency with SolidWorksBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline10+ years of mechanical engineering experience post-graduation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $66.00
