Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description Assist in the design, manufacture, assembly, and/or evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, machinery, and systems. Provide engineering support in design activities and/or modification of mechanical systems and assemblies. Release designs in accordance with company standards on time to meet customer and production demands. Responsibilities + Assist in the design, manufacture, assembly, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices. + Provide engineering support for design activities and modifications of mechanical systems and assemblies. + Release designs on time to meet customer and production demands. Essential Skills + Experience with mechanical design and sheet metal. + Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and drafting. + Experience in designing production equipment. + Familiarity with mechanical engineering drawings and bill of materials (BOM). + Ability to design and model parts and assemblies based on conceptual information. + Experience with sheet metal design. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BSME with 2-5 years of experience. + Experience with laser cutting and K-Factors. + Knowledge of C Channel designs. + Experience working with stainless steel. Work Environment The successful candidate will join a team of 40 engineers, becoming the 11th member of the Change part team. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the accumulation team. The organization has a significant presence in the food and beverage industry as well as packaging and is actively involved in community outreach programs with organizations such as Meals on Wheels and United Way.
