JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Strong underground mining background, including cold service design. Under general supervision, perform and check calculations and design. If serving in a Lead or Area Lead position, perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, assign work, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities. Prepare and perform schedules, estimates, progress reports, material forecasts, meetings, procurement activities, etc. Assist in audits. Assist, as required, in the development of department standards and procedures. Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs. Perform squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines. Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals. Actively participate in external technical seminars and self-enroll in advance management training courses. Develop client relations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Minimum BSC / Beng in Engineering degree. Minimum 10/15 years of experience with strong Process plant underground mining background, including cold service design within Mining Industry. Professional Registration and membership in external technical society preferred.
