Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, and building automation and controls. The candidate will perform system design calculations and analyze mechanical system options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software. The candidate should be knowledgeable with all relevant building codes and standards.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare design documents to detail the mechanical systems in basis of design report, drawing (Revit), and specification formats.Review design deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and presentation quality.Coordinate work with architects and engineers of other disciplines.Manage projects to ensure timely technical delivery and day-to-day liaison with design and client teams.Mentor junior engineers within the team to develop their careers and design standards.Essential SkillsMechanical engineeringMechanical designAutoCAD proficiency (Revit is a plus)Building design and draftingKnowledge of building codes and HVAC systemsExperience managing projectsFamiliarity with ASHRAE Standards and LEED certificationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering10-20 years of experience as a Mechanical EngineerAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with healthcare, data centers, central plants, and municipal projectsRevit MEPEngineeringSustainable energyAutoCAD designConstruction documentsPlumbingProfessional Engineer (P.E.) certification highly preferredRevit experienceWork Environment

The majority of projects are within the metro area. The company offers several office outings such as fishing trips, trivia nights, happy hours, bowling nights, and a company softball team. There is an opportunity to become a partner down the line with 2% profit sharing. The firm is an A/E firm which many engineers enjoy working for and provides help with paying for certificates. Employees have the opportunity to work on multiple project types.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00
