We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to work on a project focused on designing a nozzle used in steel plants to efficiently remove rust from the outer steel surface using high-impact water. This role involves multiple components and various materials.
ResponsibilitiesDesign nozzle components using Inventor, spending 20-30% of the time at the desk.Conduct flow testing in the lab, accounting for 30% of the time.Support production with day-to-day quotes, design tweaks, and customer support, initially spending 60% of the time on design and eventually 30-35% on production tasks.Collaborate with customers, making up 1% of the duties.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).2-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design for machining products.Proficiency in 3D design, with a preference for Inventor software.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in stainless steel design.Knowledge of fluid flow, thermodynamics, pumps, valves, or hydraulics.Competence in machining process component design.Understanding of the steel industry and/or nozzle or header design, excluding direct competitors.Experience in carbide or ceramic design specifically for cutting tools, spray nozzles, or water jet cutting.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00
