Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to design, build, and activate production tools, launch pads, and recovery systems. You will be responsible for the complete end-to-end ownership of projects, coordinating the build, testing, and activation of the hardware you design. This role requires close collaboration with launch operations teams to ensure that the products meet form, function, and aesthetic expectations. Your technical knowledge in basic structural sizing, mechanisms, and design will be essential in making development decisions based on cost and schedule considerations.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and activate production tools, launch pads, and recovery systems.Design and analyze mechanical systems for launch pads, recovery, and production tooling.Demonstrate complete end-to-end project ownership.Coordinate the build, testing, and activation of the hardware you design.Work closely with launch operations teams and their leadership.Ensure products meet form, function, and aesthetic expectations.Display proficiency in basic structural sizing, mechanisms, and design.Make development decisions based on cost and schedule considerations.Present cost and schedule trade proposals to leadership.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Experience using NX, CATIA, Creo, or Solidworks design software package.Experience conducting analysis using ANSYS, ABAQUS, or FEMAP software.Proficiency in mechanical engineering, FEA, and analysis.Additional Skills & Qualifications1+ years of experience in a professional setting designing, analyzing, or building mechanical structures.Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.Project management experience in the aerospace, industrial, or power generation industry.Strong understanding and demonstrated application of GD&T.Ability to work well in an integrated collaborative team environment.Passion for hands-on work when needed to enable project completion.Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications.Proactive, self-starter attitude and ability to lead projects throughout their entirety.Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative team environment that includes daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers. The role requires a proactive, hands-on approach and a passion for project completion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $50.00
