Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to work closely with project managers in the execution of various projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring complete and accurate project engineering design, applying engineering expertise to equipment design, problem-solving, and quality improvement. This role involves working on project drawings and bill of materials, sizing and selecting components for liquid fuels, and utilizing SolidWorks to create 3D models and fabrication drawings. The Mechanical Engineer will also generate fabrication BOMs using ERP systems, assist field service engineers in fuel oil equipment startups, and improve existing manufactured products and manufacturing techniques.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project managers on project execution.Ensure complete and accurate project engineering design.Apply engineering expertise to equipment design, problem-solving, and quality improvement.Work on project drawings and bill of materials.Size and select components for liquid fuels.Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D models and fabrication drawings.Generate fabrication BOMs using ERP systems.Assist field service engineers in fuel oil equipment startups.Improve existing manufactured products and manufacturing techniques.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks (parts, sheet-metal, assemblies, and drawings).Minimum of BS in Mechanical Engineering.2-5 years of relevant experience preferred, but willing to train the right individual.Some experience with DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar for 2D drawings of schematics.Design knowledge of fuel oil handling and piping systems is preferred.Attention to details.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.Willingness to learn new skills.Ability to work efficiently with multiple engineering disciplines.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with AutoCAD.Experience with ERP systems.BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Experience with fuel oil handling and piping systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
