Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to solve problems through design, analysis, and documentation. In this role, you will work closely with our sales and manufacturing teams to develop solutions to customer problems and ensure that your designs are manufacturable. You will see your creations come to life and prove their toughness through Finite Element Analysis and calculations. Additionally, you will participate in a peer review team to ensure the highest quality of our products. Responsibilities + Solve problems through design, analysis, and documentation. + Collaborate with sales and manufacturing teams to develop customer solutions and ensure manufacturability. + Prove designs can withstand rigorous conditions in various industries through Finite Element Analysis and calculations. + Participate in peer review teams to ensure best-in-class products. + Use SolidWorks software for engineering and detailing designs. + Maintain documentation and records using PDM software. + Define manufacturing processes using ERP software. + Support manufacturing by troubleshooting production concerns and implementing continuous improvements. + Contribute to team growth and knowledge expansion by participating in training sessions and mentoring less experienced personnel. Essential Skills + Proficiency in SolidWorks. + Experience with Finite Element Analysis. + Knowledge of metal fabrication processes such as welding, machining, and heat treatment. + SolidWorks Simulation, PTC Mathcad, and Microsoft Excel proficiency. + BA degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. + 3+ years of SolidWorks design experience. + Experience working in a metal manufacturing industry. + Simulation experience with FEA. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in various industries such as aerospace, defense, renewable energy, academia, OEMs, and construction. + Ability to travel to customer sites occasionally (around or less than 20 days per year). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
