Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description We are currently hiring a Mechanical Engineer/Designer for an MEP consulting firm in Columbus, OH. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Westerville, OH, offering a hybrid schedule (2 days remote) after the first 90 days of employment. The projects you'll work on include healthcare, distribution centers, warehouses, industrial, institutional, retail, and international projects. Responsibilities + Design and develop mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects within Revit or AutoCAD. + Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. + Conduct site visits to assess existing mechanical systems and gather project requirements. + Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery. + Perform load calculations and HVAC system design. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and national mechanical codes and standards. + Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs (Requests for Information). + Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress. Essential Skills + 6-11 years of experience in consulting engineering for buildings. + Knowledge of and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. + E.I./P.E. certification is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in MEP engineering, MEP design, and facility design. + Proficiency in building design, commercial construction, HVAC engineering, HVAC design, and plumbing design. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a hybrid work option (2 days remote) available after 90 days and subject to management approval. The company has 75 employees in the Columbus, OH office, which is their only office, including 7 team leads and 3 Principals.
