Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design HVAC equipment using AutoCAD, create post-approval amendment drawings, perform load calculations, and conduct site surveys. This role involves documenting existing conditions, reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings, and evaluating building energy performance through field measurements and energy analysis methods. Responsibilities + Design HVAC equipment utilizing AutoCAD + Create post-approval amendment drawings + Perform load calculations (Carrier – HAP preferred, but TRANE TRACE is acceptable) + Upload drawings to DOB now + Conduct site surveys and document existing conditions + Review contractor submittals and shop drawings + Evaluate building energy performance through on-site field measurements and energy analysis methods + Perform cooling and heating load calculations + Size ducts and select equipment + Write specifications and estimate costs Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer + Proficiency in AutoCAD + Experience in HVAC design, particularly within commercial interior fit-outs and outpatient medical facilities + Mechanical engineering knowledge + Proficiency in mechanical markups Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Revit is a plus + Project management experience is a plus + Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus Work Environment The position is office-based. Our company is growing and looking to add talented engineers for upcoming projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on multiple projects in Q4 and be challenged as an engineer. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
