Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Drafting Team Supervisor
Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer - Drafting Team Supervisor will oversee a team of drafters, ensuring the completion of mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor. This role involves designing and leading the industrial damper production drafting team, training team members, planning and assigning tasks, and balancing the team's workload. The successful candidate will establish deadlines, determine best practices to meet sales and customer expectations, and collaborate with customers to finalize designs and processes.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead a team of drafters in completing mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor.Design and manage the industrial damper production drafting team.Train, plan, assign, and balance the team's workload.Oversee special design projects as needed.Establish deadlines and ensure timely completion of projects.Determine and implement best practices for meeting sales and customer expectations.Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and finalize design processes.Provide technical guidance and support to the drafting team.Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and development opportunities.Essential SkillsProficiency in Autodesk Inventor.Mechanical design and mechanical engineering expertise.Experience in 3D design and calculations.New product development.Process improvement.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and drafting, preferably with Autodesk Inventor.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.Customer-focused with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships.Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and drafting, preferably with Autodesk Inventor.Work Environment

The work environment includes leading a team of drafters in an industrial setting, utilizing Autodesk Inventor for mechanical design. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with both team members and customers. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
