Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Senior Thermal Analyst / Mechanical Engineer Full Time and Part Time Openings Available Location: Orlando, FL Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Thermal Analyst / Mechanical Engineer in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing thermal systems and components for various applications. This role requires a deep understanding of thermal management principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: + Design and develop thermal management solutions for electronic systems, including heat sinks, heat exchangers, and cooling systems. + Conduct thermal analysis and simulations using tools such as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis). + Perform thermal testing and validation of prototypes and final products. + Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure thermal requirements are met. + Optimize thermal designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability. + Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. + Stay updated with the latest advancements in thermal management technologies and industry trends. Must-Have Qualifications: + Solid understanding of electronics cooling concepts, including experience with specifying external convection coefficients for military ground and airborne (helicopter) environments. + Experience with Equivalent Thermal Circuit (ETC) modeling. + Solid understanding of fan selection and duct design without reliance on CFD. + Experience with setting up thermal experiments and prototypes, including knowledge of thermocouple use and installation. + Solid understanding of predicting junction temperatures and managing chip-level cooling, including the selection of thermal gap fillers. + Experience with thermal analysis of ATR-style electronics chassis, including conduction and cold wall convection cooling, is a plus. + Experience with SolidWorks Thermal FEA is a plus. + Solid understanding of when and where to use CFD, with experience in CFD for airflow design being a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $69.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
