Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The NPD group identifies new products for airlines aimed at cost-saving measures. The project engineer will collaborate with the supply chain and quality departments to create, design, test, substantiate parts, and assist in obtaining final FAA approval. The parts involved can include any mechanical components inside and outside of a plane, excluding critical engine components.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the supply chain and quality departments.Create part drawings and designs.Test and substantiate parts.Assist in obtaining final FAA approval.Work on a variety of mechanical parts for aircraft, excluding critical engine components.Essential Skills1-2 years minimum experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering.Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks; AutoCAD is acceptable.Knowledge of Aerospace Manufacturing.Experience in CAD design, reverse engineering, redesign, legacy parts, aerospace engineering, manufacturing, 3D modeling, troubleshooting, and test engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.Ability to identify non-conformances.Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $34.62/hr.
