We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong experience in designing industrial machinery and equipment, particularly within the pharmaceutical, food processing, or packaging industries. This role involves planning and analyzing project needs, performing calculations, interfacing with customers and vendors, developing prototypes, and providing technical support.
ResponsibilitiesPlan and analyze assigned project needs involving the design of individual assemblies, mechanisms, and/or schematics.Perform required calculations and analysis to determine the feasibility of design alternatives.Prepare project bills of material, schematics, and/or software routines as required.Meet with customers to establish initial project design objectives and specifications.Interface with other department staff and vendors to resolve mechanical engineering issues and specify the purchase of components and parts.Develop prototypes and test plans and procedures to verify the feasibility of design alternatives.Perform test procedures, record and analyze test results, and take necessary corrective actions.Design and prepare pneumatic systems and diagrams.Prepare and maintain test protocols (FAT, IQ, OQ, Development testing).Generate project cost and time quotations.Develop required project documentation including manuals and installation instructions.Perform project finalization and release procedures and prepare related documentation.Supervise product installation procedures and provide user training as required.Provide technical support throughout the company and for customers.Prepare project reports as scheduled.Assign and direct the work of support personnel.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of three years designing industrial machinery and equipment, preferably in a GMP industry such as pharmaceutical, food processing, or packaging.Proficiency in using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo, with a preference for Inventor.Experience in machine design within an OEM environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with automation design.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Technical writing skills for creating test protocols and documentation.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
