The ideal candidate will perform system design calculations, analyze mechanical system options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software, and prepare detailed design documents. Additionally, this role requires coordination with architects and engineers from other disciplines and involvement in mission-critical and healthcare projects. Responsibilities + Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls. + Perform system design calculations and analyze mechanical system options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software. + Ensure knowledge and application of all relevant building codes and standards. + Prepare design documents, including basis of design reports, drawings (Revit), and specifications. + Review design deliverables for technical accuracy and presentation quality. + Coordinate work with architects and engineers from other disciplines. + Work on mission-critical projects and healthcare projects. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering + 6+ years of experience as an HVAC Design Engineer + Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP + Experience working on commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects Additional Skills & Qualifications + Self-motivated and enjoys collaborative problem solving + Good planning, organizational, and communication skills + EIT/PE certification Work Environment This position is within an A/E firm with offices in NYC and PA. The role involves working on a variety of project types, providing opportunities for professional growth and development. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
