Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, fabrication support, and modification of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems. Projects may include skills with Mechanical Analysis, Aerodynamics/Fluids, Thermal, Fluid Systems, Mechanical Packaging, or others. This position evaluates and determines the design approach to meet production requirements for new or improved products or services. The role also involves investigating solutions to product or process problems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good judgment combined with technical expertise, possess an ability to learn new skills and communicate effectively with team members from different disciplines.
Responsibilities
+ Design, fabricate, and modify mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems.
+ Evaluate and determine the design approach to meet production requirements for new or improved products or services.
+ Investigate solutions to product or process problems.
+ Collaborate with technical disciplines to complete assigned tasks.
+ Work both independently and as part of a team on assigned tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in using 3D modeling software such as Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, CREO, Unigraphics, etc.
+ 5 years of experience in DOD manufacturing.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
+ Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Experience with understanding and generating commercial and/or military mechanical drawings per the ASME Y14.5 standard.
+ Experience using Microsoft Office tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.59 - $55.00/hr.
