Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer responsible for creating engineering drawing packages using CAD for release to production on numerous product lines. The ideal candidate will design and validate parts, components, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring they meet both regulatory and quality requirements. Additionally, the role involves analyzing problems, developing effective solutions, and verifying technical documentation such as operational manuals and standard operational procedures.

ResponsibilitiesCreate engineering drawing packages using CAD for release to production.Design and validate parts, components, tooling, and fixturing using CAD that fulfill regulatory and quality requirements.Analyze problems or deficiencies and develop effective robust solutions to resolve them.Create and verify technical documentation such as operational manuals, technical support, and standard operational procedures.Provide technical support to Sales, Service, and Operations teams.Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.Support ERP implementation through accurate product BOM management and system integration.Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed-upon deadlines and quality standards for deliverables.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.3-5 years of prior experience in engineering.Proficiency in Solid Edge and SolidWorks.MS Office product knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience with Epicor ERP.Ability to responsibly handle confidential information.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in equipment and machine design.Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.Experience in design and manufacturing of heavy equipment.Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and their implementation.Proficiency in engineering design of parts and fixtures.Strong communication skills.Experience in sheet metal and large assembly design.Work Environment

This position is onsite at a manufacturing facility. The candidate will spend roughly 70% of their time doing CAD work and 30% on the manufacturing floor. The work environment encourages engineers to be on the floor with the product. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
