The incumbent will have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, to solve challenging technical problems, and engineer sound solutions in a fast-paced environment. The selected will serve in a capacity responsible for contributing to various projects and tasks, including all aspects of the product life-cycle from concept to fielding. All while having the opportunity to help build and maintain strategic relationships with various customers and related industry partners. **JOB DESCRIPTION:** + · Assess current and emerging technology to develop robust capability solutions. + Translate basic requirements provided into functional designs and deliverable products. + Provide subject matter expertise in materials/component selection, conceptual design, engineering analysis, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, drawings, manufacturing readiness, process development, quality review, and project documentation. + Effectively complete multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner, with limited supervision. + Support customers and sponsoring organizations in data collection, design of experiments, range operations, and technical evaluation as required to support product and solution development. + Occasional travel support. + Work with and in support of ordnance, and related systems. **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:** + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of 2yrs of relevant career experience. + Experience with 3D CAD system (i.e Solid Works), and/or engineering Simulation/Analysis Software. + Ability to communicate technical information effectively to a variety of audiences in oral or written formats. + Significant and recent technical product development experience, including design for manufacturing and development of technical specifications/drawings to support procurement. + Microsoft office (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency + Interim secret required to start with the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
