Mechanical Engineer

Analyze and redesign Head Up Guidance Systems cast aluminum chassis components, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards in a regulated avionics environment.

Job Requirements: U.S. citizen or Green Card holder Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent STEM degree with applicable experience 6+ years of engineering design experience Advanced skill with mechanical drawing GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Experience with tightly toleranced investment castings Experience working in a quality-controlled environment Advanced tolerance stack analysis skills Materials Review Board experience for evaluating nonconforming castings Job Responsibilities: Analyze complex cast aluminum parts to determine the impact of vendor non-conformances Review aluminum castings measurement data against models and drawing requirements Determine impacts on Form, Fit, or Function of parts in a regulated avionics environment Perform tolerance stack analysis and apply GD&T principles Work within a quality management system and adhere to configuration management standards Review and implement design and drawing updates based on engineering evaluations Assess vendor changes associated with design updates Conduct technical reviews of sub-tier supplier hardware in accordance with engineering requirements Coordinate assignments and activities with Project Engineers Present project status and progress in team meetings

Pay Details: $50.00 to $67.00 per hour
