Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components for robotic system applications with a focus on performance, cost, and reliability.Coordinate specifications and design requirements with senior team members and other engineers.Support the preparation of engineering scope, plans, and estimates.Support the preparation of program plans, including task definitions, time frames, risk assessments, and manpower requirements.Contribute to all aspects of the engineering effort, including design, prototype fabrication, qualification testing, data preparation, and release of production configuration.Monitor and control multiple component designs during system integration, development, testing, and production to ensure they meet performance, budget, and schedule requirements.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks.Experience in mechanical assembly and electromechanical assembly.Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Experience in robotics automation.Additional Skills & QualificationsBA degree in Mechanical Engineering.2+ years of experience using SolidWorks.Mechanically inclined with experience in building and assembling.Experience working with electromechanical products and design.Work Environment

The team consists of 20 people onsite, forming a very close-knit group. The role involves both desk work for designing and floor work for building and testing. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, including a newly signed, government-funded project in the life sciences space, involving the design of the most advanced instrument you will ever work on.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
