Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must have or be eligible to obtain an EIT certificate and should possess knowledge of building systems and building codes. The role requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a project team. This position involves performing multiple aspects of mechanical engineering services on multi-discipline building design projects of varying scope for commercial and government facilities, as well as single discipline mechanical engineering projects.

ResponsibilitiesPerform all aspects of mechanical design services including conceptual studies, programming, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents under the direct supervision of a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Principal.Provide mechanical engineering services associated with the bidding process, including preparing addenda and amendments and opening and tabulating bids.Conduct mechanical engineering services during the construction phase, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, preparing record drawings, and electing and laying out mechanical systems.Prepare accurate, complete, and code-compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design development, and construction document submittals.Review drawings produced by CADD technicians assigned to the project.Coordinate with other disciplines.Perform QA/QC review on assigned projects.Essential Skills3-5 years of mechanical engineering experienceEIT certificate or eligibility to obtain an EIT certificateProficiency in AutoCADKnowledge of building systems and building codesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamUS citizenship (required for security clearance)Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience with Revit (preferred)Sprinkler systems design (a plus)Willingness and ability to obtain a security clearanceWork Environment

This is an in-office position, working 5 days a week with 8-hour days starting between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, depending on what works best for the individual. The office environment offers a great company culture with activities such as lunch ping pong, corn hole, Xbox, Wii, and dart tournaments. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $48.08/hr.
