Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer collaborates with a local team or global engineering team on product design to satisfy customer specifications. This process includes design, product validation, completing documentation, and executing launch items for production. The role involves completing all related drawings, documentation, and release in internal systems.

ResponsibilitiesParticipate in design projects.Perform design verification on original and/or derivative design ideas using analytical and experimental methods.Participate in development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, and production launch.Collaborate with necessary personnel on failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations.Maintain product documentation (drawings and specifications).Interact with customers to solicit product specifications requirements, schedule expectations, and budget.Apply knowledge of basic electrical circuits, microelectronic assembly, statistical methods, process control fundamentals, and product test processes.Essential SkillsAdvanced surface modeling skills.Proficiency in surface modeling software.Strong knowledge of surfacing and SolidWorks.Experience in the heavy vehicle, off-road, and motorcycle industries is a plus.Mechanical engineering expertise.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.Work Environment

Hybrid work environment with a smaller engineering team in MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
