Mechanical Engineer
Job Description - Reviews and evaluates sales order requirements\specifications to configure and\or develop solutions - Works with Sales and potentially the customer to resolve requirements - Works with Electrical Engineers and Drafting to produce customer drawings - Acts as the technical lead on assigned projects - Works with internal groups such as Assembly, Procurement and field technicians during start up to resolve issues - Works with Sales and Applications Engineering - Approves project release to Manufacturing - Works with Assembly and Test departments to resolve issues encountered during build\test - Work as part of a project team to deliver cost effective, manufacturable designs Must Have - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required 5 plus years of the following experience: -Designing and developing electro mechanical products -Designing sheet metal products -Experience with development, design and engineering of mechanical\electrical systems using both 2Dand 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) -Experience with OEM design activities using mechanical design software packages and 3D modeling software Nice to Have - Knowledge of basic electrical concepts such as current carrying capability of conductors, ampacity, and electrical spacing requirements - Electrical testing experience - Customer experience - Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience - Professional Engineer (PE) License - Understanding of seismic, wind and vibration calculations Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr.
