A four year engineering degree, two plus years of industrial sales application engineering experience and five plus years of mechanical engineering experience are required to be considered for this position
Successful candidates must enjoy speaking to customers on the telephone (twenty to twenty-five phone calls daily)
Pay is $65,000 to $80,000

The internet-based engineering software utilized is industry specific and automates the entire sales applications engineering process. Customers enter data in the website. Then, quotes, proposals and follow ups are all automatically provided through the software which allows the Sales Application Engineers to focus on providing the product that is best for the customers. The software allows potential customers to get quotes and proposals in as little as fifteen minutes from the time the customer provides their information. There is no travel associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities should be as follows:
30% of the time is spent on the phone (twenty to twenty-five phone calls daily)
Utilizing engineering knowledge technically to the company products
Investigating customer needs
Solving customer problems
Utilizing throughout the sales process
Analyzing and providing appropriate alternative proposals to company sales professionals
Communicating via telephone, email and virtually
Experience with combustion would be helpful. The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
