Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Mechanical Engineer, we’ll count on you to:

Coordinate the work of mechanical design team with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's developmentAssess and design wide range on HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects.Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceCoordinate workload to complete documents on scheduleParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplinesCoordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on scheduleReview mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite and edit mechanical specifications and select equipment, mechanical systems and other devisesCoordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on scheduleCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsProvide construction contract administration as neededConduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators, or Mechanical BIM Technicians as neededPerform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasisProfessional Engineers license, Mechanical5 years experience in HVAC and plumbing system designComputer experience utilizing MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection softwarePrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Revit MEP experience preferredCommercial/institutional experience in healthcare a plus Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not requiredMaster’s degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasisPreference given to local candidates.
