Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer II to join our team! In this role you will get to work in an experienced team environment in support of a hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) lab we maintain and operate for our customer. The candidate’s main responsibility will be analyzing, developing, and simulating various RF technologies, specifically Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).

What You'll Be Doing:

Analyze, develop, and simulate various RF technologies, specifically GNSS signals

Analyze and characterize CRPA antenna array systems

Analyze and characterize performance of GNSS receivers

Analyze GNSS test data and various other testing data

Analyze and develop navigation algorithms and coupling architectures

Analyze and characterize performance of navigation sensors such as accelerometers and gyros

Calibrate RF equipment and RF systems in support of test events

Prepare and deliver reports/briefings to our customer

Required Clearance:

Must be US Citizen and have an ACTIVE Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance

Active TS/SCI is preferred

Required Education & Experience:

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline required - Master’s with 2+ years experience or Ph.D.

Knowledge of antenna arrays, preferred CRPA experience

Knowledge of GNSS receivers to include receiver front-end specifications and internal GNSS tracking loops and processing

Ability to develop software receivers from acquisition to navigation solution formation

Knowledge of GNSS/INS Integration at various levels of coupling architecture

Be able to operate lab-grade RF equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscopes, etc.)

C++, MATLAB and/or Python

Solid background in electromagnetic propagation

Calibration of RF systems and equipment

Machine Learning implementation

Simulation of multiple dynamic systems

Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
