Conduct research of submarine construction drawings using the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System. Part of a team that develops submarine shipboard alterations. Work on United States Submarine Force Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) projects. Learn while working with an experienced engineering staff. Conduct static analysis of mechanical structures. Conduct hydrodynamic analyses under a variety of at-sea operational conditions. Develop models to predict performance. Assist the Design Team with material selection based on in-process stress calculations as well as commercial and/or military specifications. Conduct quality assurance reviews of design and engineering products. Interface with customers and government sponsors.
