We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer in support for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. Code GXT provides onsite systems integration technical support, model-based systems engineering, engineering design, and life cycle support for Strategic System Programs (SSP), Office of the Undersecretary of Defense/Defense Standardization Program Office (OSD/DSPO), Office of the Secretary of Defense Research and Engineering (OSD R&E), and Other Government Agencies (OGA). This position will research, develop, design, manufacture and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.ResponsibilitiesDevelop requirements, integration strategies, and policies for DoD facilities and testing programs.Conduct research on construction requirements for industrial and radiation facilities.Document compliance with environmental and radiation regulations and oversee radiation testing of electronics.Analyze requirements, assess concept designs, and perform trade studies and alternative analyses.Create business cases with recommendations for DoD test facility capabilities.Identify and develop testing capabilities for systems and components.Research advanced technologies for radiation effects analysis and testing.Develop Test Capability Documents and identify performance parameters, use cases, and action plans.Oversee systems engineering and technical project management.Prepare program status updates and metrics for senior leaders.QualificationsBachelor’s level degree in Mechanical Engineering7 years of professional experience3-5 years of Creo CAD Modeling experienceSecret ClearanceAdditional Information
