Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support the design and implementation of mechanical systems for commercial and government buildings. This position is ideal for a junior-level engineer who is eager to learn and grow under the guidance of a senior team. Our firm specializes in the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and has an influx of projects requiring additional support. Responsibilities + Assist the project team with HVAC load calculations. + Determine systems sizing and layouts. + Calculate HVAC equipment sizes and select appropriate equipment. + Complete field surveys and prepare CAD drawings. + Travel to job sites to assist in the installation of mechanical systems. + Review shop drawings and perform construction administration functions. Essential Skills + Degree in Mechanical Engineering. + 3-5 years of experience. + Ability to obtain Security Clearance. + Experience with HVAC or a focus on HVAC in school. + Proficiency in AutoCAD. + Strong communication skills, both written and oral. + Computer proficiency. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or in the process of obtaining it. + Internship experience is a plus. + Experience with engineering calculation software such as Trane Trace or Carrier HAP is desired. + Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics Software is desired. Work Environment Our team consists of a smart, friendly group of engineers who enjoy being creative and pushing themselves. The work environment includes cubicles and a shop where techs work on various projects. The typical work schedule is 9-5, mostly in the office with some flexibility for remote days as needed. Site visits are usually around 10% of the workweek. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
