The Fleet Ballistic Missile Team in Littleton, Colorado is seeking a summer intern for 2025\. For over 60 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile \(FBM\) team has supported the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense\! The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth, and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of the strategic deterrence\. The D5 Life Extension 2 \(LE2\) Additive Manufactured Hardware Intern supports the design and development of the Trident II Life Extension 2 Flight System for the U\.S\. Navy\. This technical position supports and collaborates with the FBM Chief Modernization Chief Engineer and the Structures Sr\. Manager to assist the Structures engineering team develop, additively print and assemble full\-scale missile structure assemblies coupled with augmented reality for the use in an upcoming technical review\. The successful Individual: • Would be a proactive, self\-starter with a passion for rapid development and implementing new technologies and processes • Would be detail oriented, highly organized and able to collaboratively engage with multiple organizations to bring a project to fruition • Ensures identification of lessons\-learned and corrective action are initiated and implemented to improve future and ongoing programs **Basic Qualifications:** • Actively enrolled in an Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or other related degree program from an accredited college/university\. **Desired Skills:** • Demonstrated experience in and passion for additive manufacturing • Demonstrated experience in mechanical part design and manufacture • Demonstrated experience in the use of PTC Creo or similar CAD software tool **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Secret **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\. **Schedule for this Position:** Part\-Time as assigned by leader **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $48,776 \- $56,056\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
