You will be a Mechanical Engineering Associate Manager at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). What You Will Be Doing
As a Mechanical Engineering Associate Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers, driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, and supporting program development and execution. You will be a technical leader, coach, and mentor, responsible for developing your team's skills and expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of program requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing your team, including technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, and performance assessments
• Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, and adherence to engineering development processes
• Encouraging cross-program knowledge transfer and sharing best practices to ensure overall Mechanical Engineering effort is monitored and resources are properly allocated
• Providing Mechanical Engineering leadership on all program issues and acting as the focal point for Engineering effort on bid and proposal activities
• Managing employee development, including selection, training, salary planning, recognition, and disciplinary actions

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Mechanical engineering design and/or analysis experience.
-Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Process Improvement and Affordability experience
-Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask
-Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
-Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
-Full Lifecycle Development Experience
-Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
-Strong Interpersonal Skills
-Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
-Prior Engineering Management or leadership experience
-Proposal Development Experience;
-Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience.
-Working experience and requirements knowledge for the development of mechanical designs for Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant (NNPP) and Commercial Energy Instrumentation and Control (I&C) equipment, and Precision Guided Systems (PGS) products.
- Experience/knowledge of CREO and/or CATIA design tools.
- Experience/knowledge of ANSA analysis tools.
- Experience/knowledge of CFD analysis tools.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
