Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op, Spring 2025 in our Syracuse, NY office. As an intern, you’ll participate in our New Product Development process and develop competency in a variety of mechanical engineering activities
Main Job Duties:
Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of Product Design which may include:
Plastic component and sheet metal component designCreation of Engineering Drawings and SpecificationsProduct BenchmarkingDesign of experiments, perform tests, and document resultsUse of Engineering software to perform tasksProvide support to Engineers and Lab Technicians as needed QualificationsRequirements:
Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree program in an associated discipline from an accredited institutionExperience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred)Solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively on a team & have good communication skills both verbal & writtenMust provide own mode of transportation and housing Must be a U.S. Citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S.Salary Range: $18.00-$23.00/hour
