Position Description At a Glance Legrandhas an exciting opportunity for aMechanical Engineering Co-Op, Spring 2025in our Syracuse, NY office. As an intern, you’ll participate in our New Product Development process and develop competency in a variety of mechanical engineering activities Main Job Duties: Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of Product Design which may include: + Plastic component and sheet metal component design + Creation of Engineering Drawings and Specifications + Product Benchmarking + Design of experiments, perform tests, and document results + Use of Engineering software to perform tasks + Provide support to Engineers and Lab Technicians as needed Qualifications Requirements: + Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree program in an associated discipline from an accredited institution + Experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred) + Solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work collaboratively on a team & have good communication skills both verbal & written + Must provide own mode of transportation and housing + Must be a U.S. Citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S. Salary Range: $18.00-$23.00/hour Company Info About Legrand Representing more than 150 years of innovation, Legrand is the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.
