Marmon Industrial Water designs and manufacturers water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Summary

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering team on a variety of specific engineering projects and areas as noted below. This position will report directly to the supervisor but will have exposure to the wider business teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Support the production of, and maintenance of technical documentation as required, including CAD drawings, design calculations, bills of materials, technical specifications, etc.Support process improvement efforts through assisting with leveraging technology in support of efficient design capabilities.   Support other departments where required on issues of a technical nature.Assist the Engineering Team as required.Participate in team and project meetings.May assist with automating configurations within a SolidWorks assembly model. Participate in problem solving activities involving review of equipment specifications and requirements. Special projects at the direction of supervisor

Qualifications:

Pursuing an undergraduate (or Graduate) degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 or more years completed.Demonstrated ability in CAD engineering software (SolidWorks preferred) .Strong interest in applying engineering knowledge to practical problems.Ability to comply with deadlines.Problem solving and critical thinking skills.Excellent organizational skills.Interest in technology and process improvement.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.No previous experience required.

Certain peak periods may provide an opportunity for overtime. This is a paid position. The internship will run for 12 weeks (about 3 months) from May to August. Exact dates flexible based on school schedules.
