This group is committed to develop breakthrough technologies, modules and software that enable us to deliver innovative TEM microscopes for our demanding markets and customers.\n\nWith the ongoing developments in physics and industry the requirements for performance of these TEM microscopes are continuously growing. Aligning well with the Advanced Technology Department and several strategic collaboration partners, in our TEM Solutions department we are striving to convert the most promising technological concepts into real products - with the purpose to enable our customers to make the world cleaner, healthier and safer!\n\nThe Position\nAs Mechanical Intern Engineer you will join an enthusiastic and driven team responsible for the mechanical aspects of high-tech electron-microscope modules or sub-systems.\n\nIn your project you can see your designs grow from a conceptual idea to a finished product for our customers. Your challenge will be to find solutions for technological sophisticated problems, meeting the needs of all relevant parties, combining short term goals with long term needs. The position will allow you to grow both in technical as in business skills! We will challenge you to get the best out of yourself.\n\nYou will report directly to the group manager of the Mechanical team within the TEM Solution R&D organization.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nIn this role you will have the following key responsibilities:\n\nPerform mechanical simulations and analysis on systems and subsystems\nDesign, analyze and test mechanical systems, subsystems on mechatronic performance\nCollaborate with a team of engineers covering multiple competences (mechatronics, electrical, software, dynamics)\nQualifications\nA successful candidate possesses the following combination of education and experience:\n\nUniversity or HBO student in the field of mechanical engineering\nAdditional work experience in this field is a plus.\nExperience in applied mechanics, FEM and material constitutive behavior is a plus\nExperience with software tools such as Matlab, Simulink, UX and ANSYS or equivalent experience\nYou would characterize yourself as follows:\nYou demonstrate a proactive approach, showcasing your ability to take initiative, be self-steering, and exhibit self-confidence.\nYou take initiative, are self-steering and self-confident and have perseverance.\nYou are eager to learn and flexible when circumstances change.\nYou combine a strong analytical view with a pragmatic demeanor.\nYou are an excellent communicator and a good teammate.\nYou are value oriented and able to set and act according to priorities at the same time.\nYou are not afraid to step outside of your safe zone and seek new opportunities\nPersonal\nDiversity in our teams is an important element to build an effective and challenging working environment.
