Introduction:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Services, Grinding, Bulk, and Pyro (SVSGBP) team. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in the mining, design and manufacturing, and heavy equipment sectors, working on projects that contribute to industry advancements.
This position is located in York, PA.
What you’ll do:
• Work and be integrated with our technical support team and immersed into productization of pyro product parts initiatives.
• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical components and systems specific to Metso equipment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and optimize engineering solutions and processes.
• Conduct research and gather data to support engineering projects, focusing on efficiency and improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation related to project findings and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.
• Will have some 3D modeling, design, and drafting tasks to collaborate on.
• Other tasks as assigned
Who you are:
• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering / science or related field of study
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts
• Ability to work in a busy environment and manage several tasks at once
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel
• Understanding of AutoCAD 2D & 3D or similar drafting program
• Ability to read drawings is valuable
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior is beneficial
• Ability to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday and in-office (Not remote)
• Experience optional, but engineering knowledge is important
