Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Purpose

Assist Mechanical Engineer on any designated development projects or engineering processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and build test fixtures Design mechanical systems, equipment and packaging Detail design drawings and package for ECN release Write test procedures Build prototype products Execute mechanical tests Perform environmental tests Document test reports Create and manage bill of materials Research and order prototype components Assist with resolving production issues Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Completed 3 years of study towards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree Previous internship experience in a project team environment is a plus Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment General Job Requirements This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
