What We Need:
Code engineering teams are developing next-generation barcode readers, designed to deliver exceptional performance to our clients. As a Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers, working closely with cross-functional departments to bring high-quality, innovative products to life.
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers.
+ Develop and monitor mechanical engineering timelines, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including electrical engineering, firmware, software, and marketing.
+ Guide the mechanical engineering team to design and develop mechanical components and assemblies throughout the product life cycle, from the initial industrial design concept through product release.
+ Review and approve engineering drawings, designs, and prototypes.
+ Identify potential risks in mechanical designs, processes, or materials and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
+ Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure products are designed for efficient and cost-effective production.
+ Utilize SolidWorks and EPDM to create and manage product designs and engineering data.
+ Oversee and manage the Engineering Lab, ensuring organization, efficient operations, and proper equipment utilization.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required, Masters preferred.
+ 7-10+ Years Mechanical Engineering Experience
+ Experience developing parts manufactured using processes such as injection molding, die casting, machining, stamping, and laser etching.
+ Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) in design and manufacturing processes.
+ Experience in Agile/Scrum workflows.
