Mechanical Estimator
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in commercial estimating, focusing on HVAC and plumbing projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million. Key responsibilities include performing takeoffs, interacting with clients, and reading/reviewing conceptual blueprints.

Responsibilities:

Review and understand all project plans, requirements, and specifications.Coordinate and supervise a team of estimators to develop large, multi-disciplinary estimates.Determine labor and equipment costs.Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks.Understand project logistics and project schedule.Prepare bid packages and compare and analyze competitive subcontract and supplier bids.Review quotes and estimates with Project Team and prepare recommendations.Interface with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.Accurately develop cost models.Track and report on current material and labor prices, including escalation.Reconcile quantity surveys with consultants and design team.Identify escalation factors in marketplace for specific materials and labor rates.Responsible for sound conceptual pricing assumptions with sound documentation for the basis of the estimate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering highly desired 10+ years of estimating experience.Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff.Experience working for a mechanical contractor is highly desired.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00
