The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for generating all estimating deliverables required on projects having estimated costs ranging from $15 million-$300 million.
Responsibilities Perform conceptual estimating on strike civil, arch, structural and include mechanical piping, HVAC, instrumentation and controls portion of the project (total project volume: $15mm to $50mm)Produce quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for a project from its early inception through an acceptable working budget, GMP, or Lump Sum PriceResponsible for coordinating with electrical, plumbing and fire protection scope of estimatesCoordinate project documents for the GMP and Lump Sum Bid project delivery methods.Lead detailed reviews of civil, architectural and structural subcontractor’s scope before award of project contracts.Obtain and present unit pricing dataResponsible for outlining clarifications and qualifications within an estimateProvide back up for estimates to be used during analysis and reviewSecure and contact sources for cost estimates for all specialty itemsIdentify indirect costs and General Condition items within estimatePossess and apply knowledge of unit prices and the material/labor componentEstablish and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricingProduce manpower estimates to coincide with construction estimateCompile complete estimate/bid package breakdown based on input from others.Establishes estimating protocols for specific types of documentation QualificationsKEY COMPETENCIES

For Massachusetts, this ranges from $92,400.00-$127,200.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
