Job Purpose\:

The position is based in Anchorage at the Worley Fabrication Facility, on a 5 day a week work schedule.  

Schedule subject to change pending the project(s) needs.   

No relocation or per diem is provided.

Job Purpose\:

The Mechanical General Foreman is responsible for management and execution of assigned projects in accordance with the requirements of the contract between Worley and clients, and in accordance with quality, safety, and cost control standards. The Mechanical General Foreman will plan and direct the foreman on the work of crews based on job criteria including size of crew, work complexity, and any applicable state or federal requirements. The Mechanical General Foreman will be the direct Supervisor on the Piping, Coatings, and HVAC teams and will work concurrently with the other General Foreman of Structural and Architectural to cross communicate the needs of the project(s) to ensure the success of the project as a whole. This position will also require the Mechanical General Foreman to fill in a vacancy should the other General Foreman and or Craft Discipline Foreman be absent.   

Essential Job Functions\: 

·         Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.

·         Drives, promotes, and instills a culture of “Safety Leadership” that is incident and injury free and in which all employees feel responsible for safety and pursue it daily.

·         Possesses a basic understanding and knowledge of the terms and conditions of contracts, including the scope of work and associated client deliverables.

·         Manages work in accordance with project goals, contract and customer requirements and expectations, including performance, quality, compliance, and safety as outlined in the contract terms and conditions.

·         Regularly seeks customer feedback, measures customer satisfaction and acts on results to improve performance.

·         Communicates the organization’s goals and ensures employees understand the importance of their contribution to the organization towards delivering results.

·         Walk down jobs and develop safe execution plans.

·         Monitors training and compliance with contract and company safety and environmental procedures and policies; documents and ensures that corrective measures are implemented when required.

·         Ensure all crew members have the required skills and abilities to perform job tasks safely and correctly.

·         Assign a mentor to new crew members and verify that mentoring process is followed and completed.

·         Regularly communicate expectations to crew with respect to work execution, safety, procedures, efficiency and encourage open communication from team members.

·         Provide regular and timely feedback regarding performance.

·         Make certain that all incidents are promptly reported.

·         Continually seek improvement in work processes.

·         Must fill out Daily Progress Reports on current projects.

·         Must track and report schedule changes & work with Field engineer for any field deviations from IFC package or additions scope.

·         Audit PTSP cards for complete job hazard assessment and proper mitigation.

·         Perform regular shop, field, and vehicle inspections.

·         Manage crew’s schedule including preparing Work Schedule Changes.

·         Ensure any required approvals for holdovers or additional overtime are obtained.

·         Conduct daily safety meeting for crew.  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\: 

·       Must have strong planning and organizational skills.

·       Ability to use tools and equipment applicable to petrochemical operation.

·       Ability and knowledge to interpret blueprints and redline drawings.

·       Knowledge in fabrication, carpentry, assembly, handling, installation, dismantling, adjustment, alteration, and repair of all oilfield process facilities equipment.

·       Knowledge of technical and safety policies, procedures, and standards applicable to Worley and our client.

·       Ability to communicate clear direction to work crew Leads, crews, management, and client representatives.

·       Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate; and demonstrate commitment to established safety policies and procedures.

Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, extreme cold or heat and high noise levels. Employee will work in an environment where there is risk that they will be exposed to toxic, caustic and/or hazardous chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles. Workers are required to wear personal protective equipment while on the job. The work generally requires routine walking, sitting, standing, squatting, climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching, and carrying items. An individual will be required to work most hours in an industrial environment and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands.

Minimum Qualifications\: 

·     Five (5) years of industrial petrochemical experience in a mechanical craft.

·     Five (5) years in a crew supervisory role.

·     High school diploma or equivalent (GED). 

Preferred Qualifications\: 

·       Seven (7) years of industrial petrochemical experience in a mechanical craft.

·       Seven (7) years in a crew supervisory role.
