Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Mechanical Hardware Engineer in support of our nationally recognized, Consumer and Commercial Electronic R&D client in Corvalis, OR. Summary: In this role, the Mechanical Hardware Engineer will work alongside R&D design engineers to help manage project CAD and parts within the company's product data management (PDM) system. This includes working across teams and suppliers to ensure CAD/parts are maintained to the latest/current revision and accessible. Responsibilities: * Manage R&D projects in Windchill PDM system (checking models and drawings out and in for suppliers, checking-in supplier designed models and drawings into the PDM) * Assist engineers by putting items in the Windchill system * Assist engineers by updating CAD models and drawings * Assist engineers by getting changes through the change management system * Assist engineers by getting part numbers for new parts * Assist engineers by ordering, shipping, receiving, and tracking parts * Assist engineers by classifying -standard parts- in Windchill (fasteners, fittings, etc.) to enable attribute searches and parts reuse
