Job Description
The Mechanical Inspector will be working with different clients, building occupants, and contractors on a federal project site in Woodlawn, MD. This person will be part of an Owner's agent team in support of various federal projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Monitor, assess, coordinate, and inspect the construction work of the contractor on behalf of the federal agency.Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.Inspect site daily to ensure up to code and specification.Prepare reports of inspection and site visits.Review change order issues.Perform special material testing inspection.Maintain project records.Manager project photographic records.Verification of field surveys.Top Skills & Qualifications:10+ years of experience inspecting mechanical/plumbing systems for construction projectsShould be a master, journeyman or Certified Mechanical InspectorExperience working on projects in occupied buildingsStrong knowledge of HVAC systemsStrong knowledge of HVAC/Plumbing codeAbility to obtain security badgeWork SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Woodlawn, Maryland. Will be reporting to the federal project site on a daily basis and will be required to obtain a security badge.
