Initial Pilot Program is (6) months.
After Pilot Program is over we will be awarded a longer, on-going, supplier quality assurance program.
Frequency:
25-30 hours per week during initial pilot across the (3) suppliers (estimated (2) visits per week at each suppleir with (5) hours per visit).
Compensation:
$30 - 34 (Depending on Experience)
Rate 1: Time Onsite
Rate 2: Paid at time and a half. Customer approved OT only (approval must be in writing prior to you working the OT)
Travel Time: Paid to match Rate 1. This is the time it takes you to get to and from the supplier for each visit (portal-to-portal).
Mileage: Paid at GSA. This is paid at the mileage between your home and the supplier.
Job Description:
The quality inspector shall travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies. Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications. The inspector will be required to report inspection accept / reject information directly to the customer via web application.
Requirements:
Candidate must have practical experience performing all aspects of quality inspection to include receiving, in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies as well as an understanding into electronics inspections and manufacturing to IPC 610 for PCBs and PWBs as well as IPC 620 for wireharness / cables etc. The mechanical inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard. Qulified candidates must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs). The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers. Hands on experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of (5) years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidate should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
