Previous experience working in a food grade facility is preferred. This is a hands on role. Both supervising and fixing maintenance issues. + College Degree helpful. + Knowledge of proactive maintenance model (i.e. planning, scheduling, defect elimination, etc.). + Experience with liquid food packaging equipment and processes helpful. High-speed packaging or plastics industry helpful. + PLC Knowledge helpful. + Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems involving multiple technologies. + Basic computer skills, working understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook. + Ability to learn computerized maintenance management system. + Leadership, communication, organization and time management skills. + Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, 5Y or Continuous Improvement helpful. + Knowledge of shop math, ability to interpret drawings and use the tools required. + Knowledge of mechanical aptitude and mechanical and electrical and fabricated repairs. Able to resource necessary parts and + equipment for repairs and projects. + Order maintenance parts and supplies for production equipment and plant as needed. + Working closely with Parts Clerk. + Coordinate maintenance staff to ensure proper personnel to cover production lines as needed for breakdowns and change over. + Screen potential maintenance candidates for employment. + General plant facility maintenance related items. + Reliable attendance. + Follows leadership direction as well as communicating well with others. + Work with plant manager and production supervisors in the workflow process. + Frequent climbing of stairs is required along with lifting (At least 50 Lbs) and moving of various materials required. + Responsible for immediately identifying non-conforming product or equipment to their supervisor at any step of the operation. + Responsible for Food Safety and HACCP as assigned. + Follows all program guidelines for Organic, Halal and Kosher certifications. + Ability to be available for after-hour emergency situations (fire, water, etc.).
