Key Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct physical inspections, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical assets, including those affecting facility operations, physical structures, and exterior grounds.At automated sites, perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment such as proximity switches, photoelectric sensors, pressure switches, push buttons, and associated testing tools.Inspect and perform basic repairs on refrigeration systems.Carry out preventive maintenance tasks on material handling equipment following manufacturer and company guidelines to ensure safe and continuous operation.Maintain detailed records of inspections, evaluations, and preventive maintenance activities, and communicate relevant equipment status and maintenance updates to leadership daily.Perform other tasks as assigned.Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Operate power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts as needed.Use onsite motorized lifts and rental equipment for operating, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining facility equipment.Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
At least 1 year of experience or a combination of experience and trade school in one or more of the following areas: building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, or refrigeration maintenance (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2 systems).Ability to complete preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision and clear instructions.Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.Basic computer skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all facility levels.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and stay organized.Comfortable working in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage environments or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage facilities while wearing company-provided PPE and freezer gear.Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs./23 kgs.; weight may vary depending on the facility.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if required.Some locations may require familiarity with working in high-noise environments.Certain locations may also require demonstrated knowledge and adherence to "Working at Height" safety practices.Why Lineage?
