Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Thursday- Saturday 7pm-730am and every other Wednesday)

Join our maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician, where you'll receive hands-on training to develop the skills needed to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems. You'll work in a fast-paced environment while following all safety regulations and company policies. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within our team and build a strong foundation in industrial maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:Perform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs on mechanical equipment, facility infrastructure, and exterior grounds under the guidance of leadership.Assist with routine maintenance on proximity switches, photoelectric sensors, pressure switches, and push buttons at automated sites, using appropriate testing equipment.Support refrigeration system inspections under the supervision of leadership.Conduct basic preventive maintenance on material handling equipment per manufacturer and company guidelines.Operate power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts as needed.Utilize motorized lift and rental equipment while operating, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining machinery.Perform additional maintenance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:Trade school coursework or basic experience in building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, or refrigeration maintenance (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO₂) preferred.Ability to follow instructions and perform routine preventive maintenance tasks under supervision.Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.Basic computer skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the facility.Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Comfortable working in extreme temperatures: as low as -20°F (-25°C) in cold storage and up to 100°F (37°C) in dry storage while wearing company-provided protective gear.Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. (23 kg), with potential for heavier lifting depending on the facility.Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends as needed.Willingness to work in environments with varying noise levels.Some locations require knowledge and experience with Working at Heights.
