As the **Design Discipline Technical Lead** (DTL), you will oversee a variety of design projects, ensuring they meet all specifications while being completed on time and within budget. Your leadership and engineering expertise will directly contribute to the success of our teams and drive industry-leading designs forward.
**What You'll Do:**
+ **Lead Design Execution:** You’ll oversee the execution of the Scope of Work (SOW) for assigned projects, working alongside an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to ensure all requirements are met.
+ **Project Coordination:** Divide tasks among team members, track progress, and provide design support, ensuring all assignments are completed on schedule.
+ **Design Reviews:** Review and approve models, drawings, and documents, serving as the Design Supervisor.
+ **Collaboration Across Teams:** Work with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, stress engineers, purchasing, and program management to drive integrated designs.
+ **Support Manufacturing & Testing:** Be an active part of the manufacturing, operations, and testing phases, ensuring smooth project transitions and solutions for any challenges.
+ **Risk Management:** Identify project risks early and propose solutions to mitigate them, keeping projects on track and within scope.
**What We’re Looking For:**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience. We will also consider candidates with 9+ years of practical experience in lieu of a degree.
+ Strong 3D solid modeling and drafting skills (NX CAD or similar).
+ Experience with interpreting 2D drawings, including GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
+ Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with international teams and non-native English speakers.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with aircraft interior part design (monuments, seat furniture, galleys, lavatories).
+ Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
+ Familiarity with various production methods, including sheet metal, machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
+ Ability to manage and lead a design team while also providing hands-on support when needed.
+ In-depth knowledge of commercial aircraft design regulations and requirements.

**Pay Details:** $72.29 per hour
